A lady whose nephew had been greatly helped by Absent Healing contacted us again. This time it was to help her nephew’s friend who had been diagnosed ashaving cancer of the bone marrow. This friend, in his early twenties, lived in Mauritius. Despite receiving treatment there and in the neighbouring island of Reunion, medical science had not been able to help him. Absent healing began.

The young man went to Paris for treatment and underwent a bone marrow transplant. Six months later he returned to Mauritius. His condition improved and improved. He is now fully recovered, and feels very well indeed—so much so that he is getting married this year

This is a classic case of Absent Healing working, not in isolation, but in conjunction with orthodox treatment, to produce a result which seemed very, very distant when the Absent Healing first began.

In July 1996 a healer's 65-year old mother suffered a major stroke and was rushed to hospital. The following day absent healing began to be sent by healers in New Zealand. She deteriorated quite markedly over the next few days, and may have had a minor heart attack. Subsequently a hernia was also diagnosed, and a blood clot developed in her left leg, which became very swollen.

She began to describe visions of discarnate entities, including one woman who was also glimpsed by the healer's niece and nephew. The doctor predicted a quick and certain death. A nurse who took a personal interest in her case said it would take a miracle for her to survive. My mother began to improve in strength and became quite determined to fight for her health. Because of her improvement, the doctor carried out a small operation on her leg. This was very successful. His mother continued to improve to such an extent that she was eventually discharged. The healer says that he heard later that the doctor who cared for my mother in hospital said to her before she left, "You are a miracle."

Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper carried a remarkable story of Dr. Mary Self. This 34 year old doctor had suffered from bone cancer at 17. Now she was found to have a tumour in the lung. Major surgery removed it. A month later doctors found another tumour at the bottom of her pelvic bone and told her that her condition was terminal. They could only offer her severe chemotherapy to prolong her life, though they did not know how long for. She declined. Two or three months later she was suffering severe pain and muscle weakness. She also knew the fact that she was sweating profusely was a sign that the cancer was making serious advances.

She planned her funeral and rewrote her will. For sentimental reasons she desperately wanted to make a trip to Australia, but was worried that she was so ill that she might not be able to make it. As a Christian she had requested healing prayers from her church and now asked for prayers specifically to enable her to make this trip. Her request went around the world and she had 10,000 people praying for her! Two days before she went she began to feel better than she had for months. Once home, however, she relapsed and was admitted to hospital where she was given a drip with painkillers. She believed and was told that death could not be far away. Meanwhile the healing prayers continued.

Suddenly she began to feel a little better. Then a surgeon rang to say that a CT scan had shown that the lesion in her bone had got smaller. She asked for the prayers to intensify.

Her symptoms disappeared. The next time she went for a bone scan the radiographer asked "Where’s this lesion meant to be?" He was puzzled and did several different views. The two consultants who surveyed the scans pored over them for 45 minutes before returning in total disbelief: the tumour had vanished! When their patient told them that she believed it had to be a miracle brought about through prayer, one of the consultants looked her in the eye and said "Yes, I’ll buy that. There is no other explanation"


A longstanding healer in New Zealand works at the Mercy Hospital in Auckland as a carpenter. He is also a very good spiritual healer and homoeopath. In August last year, he heard, over the hospital intercom a “Code Blue”—in other words a life-threatening situation. Arne continued on his way to the workshop when he seemed to hear a voice in his ear saying “This is someone’s father and someone’s husband. Do something!”

He shut himself inside the workshop and began to send Absent Healing to the patient. He seemed to become aware of the patient floating a few feet above his body on the examination table. When the white light reached and surrounded him, he slipped back into his body again. Later the nurse in charge told him that the patient had indeed almost died, and that it had been touch and go to get his heart going again. Two hours later he was in theatre for an emergency heart by-pass operation, which was completely successful.

The moral of this story is “always follow your inspirations”. You never know the good you may do.


A gentleman aged 89 was knocked down by a van, and was taken to hospital where he lay in a coma. A healer quickly arranged for Absent Healing to be sent the day after the accident. Staff at the hospital told his relations that they held no hope of his recovery. Life support machines were turned off, and he was given just a few hours to live.

Two days after the accident he came out of the coma and made steady progress. Two days later, though stiff and very badly bruised, he was sitting in a chair eating lunch! He was sent home eight days after the accident, and is making an excellent recovery.

A gentleman had major heart surgery. Before his operation he felt amazingly calm and fully awake when taken into the theatre. He felt a powerful healing force. A day after the operation he could sit up and on the third day he was walking unaided. It was reported that the patient had recovered beyond all expectations. He and his family feel that it is due to the healing.

A lady was listening to a radio programme about The Aetherius Society eighteen years ago! She contacted us then asking that healing could be sent to her niece who was two years old at the time. She was diagnosed as having leukæmia and was not expected to live for much longer than a few months. Absent healing was sent. The girl, now 21, is fit and well!

Contact healing was administered by an animal specialist to a champion basset hound named Ghostie, suffering from a form of nervous breakdown. Although physically a champion, his mental disposition stopped him from winning rosettes. After three treatments, Ghostie competed in a dog show of l000 entrants — and won the “Best of Breed” prize!
