A young girl, aged 11, the daughter of a Western Nigerian spiritual healer, returned from school elated. She had performed healing on one of her classmates whom she found weeping during a short school break.

She takes up the story: “I saw a classmate weeping, with her eyes red. She had a headache. My other colleagues were just looking at her as she wept. I felt concerned, and, deep inside me, something said ‘Heal her’. I then said to her, not caring about the crowd that now gathered around us, ‘Let me heal you’.

“I stood by the left side of her, and visualised how healing was done in the Church. I placed my left hand on her Christ Centre and my right hand at the back of her head, and recited a prayer silently. She was now laughing, even before I finished praying. The headache had disappeared!

“Since then my classmates call me ‘Doctor’. Whenever they do so, I tell them ‘You too can heal!’

A lady aged 36 suffered with chronic agoraphobia and other phobias which resulted in a permanent body tremor. Allopathic and professional homeopathic treatment had been tried and failed. A dramatic improvement was seen after the first contact healing treatment. After five treatments she was able to resume all activities which she had been unable to do for six years. The body tremor and irrational fears had almost gone.

A lady with back problems resulting from a childhood accident had been unable to sit or lie on her back for 20 years! Medical science had tried every avenue and eventually given up. When she came for healing, she was only able to lie on her front (that was how she had travelled in her car!) or to stand. She had even brought her own mattress to lie on during the healing.

Edward, our healer, had worked out his strategy before she arrived. Instead of asking her to sit for healing, she stood, with her arms resting against the wall, during his healing passes. That day the lady sat in the passenger seat on her way home for the first time in 20 years! Three further treatments at fortnightly intervals, and a chronic complaint which had defeated orthodox medicine for 20 years was gone!

In January 1997 while at work a healer was dowsing over the museum’s model of Stonehenge when I got talking to a lady member of the public. The conversation eventually got onto spiritual healing and she told him about a back problem she had had for some time

As there were very few people around he asked if she would permit a ten-minute healing session there on the gallery. She accepted and the healer proceeded to perform passes down her spine. He followed by putting some good energy in and then some more passes. She commented that she felt a little better and then they parted. The healer soon forgot about this incident until about a year later when he received a letter from her which included the following:
"…then I asked you if you were a healer and of course you are, because I'm happy to say you healed my back. I’ve had no problems since."

One gentleman who contacted us had suffered a year of intense pain caused by a trapped nerve in the neck. Numerous visits to doctors and chiropractors and drug treatment had brought no relief whatsoever. After just three treatments at fortnightly intervals he declared himself healed and, in the words of his healer “was jumping about and dancing all over the place”.

Another lady was tragically suffering from a blood clot on the brain leading to almost total speech impairment and lack of co-ordination in hands and legs. An operation to remove the blood clot caused a secondary clot to develop over the right eye, causing it to physically drop.

After one healing session she amazed her husband and two friends by being able to put on her jewellery unaided. After the second session her doctor announced that she had made 18 months’ progress in a few weeks. After her third and most recent healing her speech is much clearer and she can cook a meal for her family unaided and do other household chores which she could not do before.

An analytical chemist suffered from stomach pains and indigestion. He was depressed and suicidal. After six treatments, he felt fit and well, free from pain and depression.

A 32 year old professional portrait painter had treatment for a severe hearing impairment, following an unsuccessful operation three years previously. After only two sessions of Contact Healing, he was overjoyed to find that his hearing had returned. His face was a picture as he described hearing a kettle boiling in his kitchen—a sound which he had not at first recognised!


In November last year an employee of a Toronto healer had an aneurism burst on the left hand side of her brain. She bent down to feed one of her cats, and when she stood up was blind in the left eye and paralysed on her entire left side. Emergency surgery clamped off the burst blood vessel, but doctors could not tell whether she would be paralysed or unable to speak. Healing was immediately sent by the Group. The patient responded immediately— but the worst was not over. A second aneurism was discovered at her right temple. Just sixteen days after the operation to remove it, she was behaving as though nothing had ever happened! Doctors say that her rapid and total recovery is nothing short of a miracle.


A friend of two Toronto healers was in hospital waiting for surgery to remove a large portion of his colon. He was given Spiritual Healing three times prior to the scheduled surgery date — after which he no longer required surgery. He continued to receive healing following his release from hospital, and the condition has not returned.
